Punjab Schools Closed Due to Smog Crisis: Steps to Combat Pollution

To address the emerging environmental problem of air pollution especially smog, the government of Punjab has considered it fit to close all public and private schools in the province until November 17. This decision also addresses the need due to the present hours that are required for the protection of health from threats including those of youth students. Smog, a visible air haze that combines smoke and fog has continued to pose serious health risks to human life major cities of which are Lahore and some of the adjacent cities.
