Punjab Himmat Card: Government Announces Rs 10,500 Stipend Start Date

The Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, has introduced the Punjab Himmat Card to help poor and vulnerable people in Punjab. Women will get 30% of the support. 

Maryam Nawaz emphasized that it is the state’s duty to support deserving individuals and the underprivileged members of society. So, this new program aims to provide financial help to those in need.

Payment for Himmat Card Holders 

The Punjab Government has launched the Punjab Himmat Card Scheme as of August 27th. According to the Chief Minister, eligible individuals will start receiving monthly payments of Rs 10,500 from September 15. Payments will be made via ATM cards issued by the Bank of Punjab.

Punjab Himmat Card: Everything you Need to Know

It is is a special program from the government designed to help people with disabilities (PWDs). Right now, the card provides a quarterly stipend of Rs. 7,500 to those in need. In the future, any new services for people with disabilities announced by the government will also be available through this card.

Punjab Himmat Card

A new agreement was signed between the Department of Social Welfare and the Bank of Punjab with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif present. The Bank of Punjab will provide ATM cards called Himmat Cards to 65,000 special individuals. 

Each cardholder will receive Rs. 10,500 every three months. In the first phase, 40,000 cards will be given out, and in the second phase, 25,000 more cards will be distributed. Payments will start on September 15th.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for this, a person with a disability (PWD) must:

  • Have certification from Social Welfare Punjab.
  • Be unable to work (not fit to work).
  • Not be employed in any government or private job.
  • Not have received any recent grants from organizations like Bait ul Maal, Zakat Fund, PSPA, or BISP.
  • Have a PMT score from BISP of 37 or less.
  • Make sure that the basic information, including CNIC, address, mobile number, education, and experience, is current in the DPMIS system.

How to Apply Online

The Punjab Government has launched a new survey called the Khushali Survey to help people sign up for various schemes, including the Himmat Card. Here is how you can apply for the Himmat Card through the PSER Web Portal:

  1. Visit the Website: Go to https://pser.punjab.gov.pk .
  2. Enter Your Details: Fill in your full name, CNIC number, mobile network, mobile number, and email address.
  3. Create a Password: Set a password for future logins and enter it again to confirm.
  4. Register: To complete the process, simply click the “Register” button.

  1. Go to www.pser.punjab.gov.pk and register online.
  2. For help with your registration, please contact the helpdesk at 0800-02345.

Enrollment Details

In the first phase, 40,000 people will receive Himmat Cards. The Bank of Punjab plans to distribute a total of 65,000 ATM cards to individuals with disabilities in Punjab.
