KP Launches Digital Motor Vehicle Registration with Universal Number Plates

In an important step towards modernization, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) and the KP Excise Department have rolled out a digital motor vehicle registration system along with a universal number plate system. 

Online Services for Vehicle Owners Begin in October

This initiative is part of Vision 2030, championed by Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, aiming to simplify vehicle registration processes and provide online convenience to the citizens of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Digital Motor Vehicle Registration by KPK

Starting from October 1st, vehicle owners across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be able to register, transfer vehicle ownership, and even pay their fees without the need to visit an office. These services will be available through the Dastak application, making the process hassle-free and efficient.

This project reflects the government’s commitment to integrating technology into public services. By enabling online motor vehicle registration and universal number plates, the provincial administration ensures transparency and convenience for all citizens. The Dastak app will empower users to complete vehicle-related tasks from the comfort of their homes, removing bureaucratic hurdles and long queues.

Benefits of the Universal Number Plate System

The introduction of universal number plates under this initiative will also standardize the identification of vehicles across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It will improve law enforcement and make it easier for citizens to maintain their vehicle records, regardless of where they are in the province.

With the digital vehicle registration system, citizens can now complete tasks that used to take hours, in mere minutes. The universal number plate system will also ensure that vehicles are easily identifiable across the region, contributing to better traffic management and enhanced security.
