The Higher Education Commission has announced a new plan for hiring teachers. Instead of hiring full-time lecturers, they will bring in College Teacher Interns (CTIs) who have master’s degrees. This change is set to start next month.

HEC: Monthly Stipend for Interns
The CTIs will work for eight months and earn a monthly stipend of Rs 50,000. The plan aims to provide opportunities for many master’s degree holders who are currently unemployed. The recruitment will not involve the Public Service Commission, which means the process might be a bit different from usual.
