Najmi Alam, Advisor to the Chief Minister for Human Settlement Authority, Livestock, and Fisheries department, announced that this project is in line with the vision of Bilawal Bhutto, focusing on creating inexpensive housing solutions for those in need.
The initiative was introduced during the 29th Governing Body meeting of the Human Settlement Authority, where Alam highlighted its significance.
This program will expand annually, aiming to help more low-income individuals achieve homeownership. The meeting also saw the approval of new demolition squads to tackle encroachments in Sindh’s slums, further supporting the initiative’s goals.
Comparison with Punjab’s Housing Program
Earlier this month, Punjab introduced a comparable program called “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar,” which was announced by CM Maryam Nawaz.
This program also focuses on providing cheap housing to residents in Punjab, reflecting the governments’ shared commitment to improving housing accessibility.
