Introduced in 2003, Behbood Savings Certificates were designed to support widows, senior citizens, disabled individuals, and special minors. The government last updated the profit rates on May 14, fixing them at the current rate of 15.36%.

Behbood Savings Certificates can be purchased by:

  • Senior citizens aged 60 or older.
  • Single widows who have not remarried.
  • Disabled persons with an NIC showing the disability logo.
  • Special minors through their guardians.
  • Joint accounts involving eligible individuals.

Investment Limits

  • Individual: Up to Rs7.5 million.
  • Joint Accounts: Up to Rs15 million.
